Major League Baseball

I must admit, I've never been a big baseball fan. Still, when the baseball all-stars team came to town to play against our local police officers, it was an opportunity to get in the dugout and see what's really going on during the game.

Our guys didn't stand much of a chance against these major leaguers, but the crowd at Nat Bailey Stadium sure loved it. Former Blue Jays pitcher Danny Cox showed off his world series stuff, as did NY Yankees and Dodgers player Jimmy Wynn. Montreal Expos Ron Leflore was also popular.

Still, baseball hero Bert Campaneris stole the show. He was not only nice to the opposing team, but he was great with the kids. Later on, at the post-game party, he shared our table and our pizza. Now, how many people can say that?
