Tantra Lounge Opening

TANTRA . . . even the name sounds soothing. Well, while the view may be soothing, watch out, because this place is ready to rock. Located on the second floor of the Lonsdale Quay, this trendy lounge and grill is attracting all kinds of attention. Formerly known as the Waterfront Bistro, this new set-up has all the makings of success. Their official grand opening was held on August 3rd. A big spacious balcony, great food, comfy counches and, once the lights go down, a fun dance floor complete with DJ. For those of you who like a show with your shooter, ask the bartender to set the place on fire with a "backdraft".

Music makes the people come together (hey Mr. DJ). Tim Cadeny has some Madonna and more and is charge of the tunes on Friday and Saturday nights.
Grouse Mountain's own Angela Kirkby and Gene Macdonald came along to the grand opening.
Steven Francis (centre) met his wife Kim (left) at this very location four years ago. Server Tanis Senum (right) enjoyed hearing the story.
West Vancouver's Stan Comerville was lucky enough to enjoy the company of two lovely ladies, namely Sheila Keighron (left) and Vivienne Plunkett.

They're North Vancouver's version of Coyote Ugly. Tossing glasses and twirling bottles are all part of the fun for (from left) Gavin Edgeworth, Karen Thompson, Oran Feild and Gary Carlson.
"Goodness gracious great balls of . . ." It takes guts to do this shooter stunt but Gary Carlson and his fiery "backdraft" are a big crowd pleaser.
Executive chef Leonardo Moschetti and wife Valerie took some time to have a quick dance.
Owner Salim Karim and wife Sareeta cuddled up on one of the leather sofas by the fireplace.

Manager Elissa Bell and DJ Ward Wilson have reason to be proud. The place looks great.
