Hollyburn School Auction

SOTHEBY's famous auction house came to the North Shore on Friday Nov. 30 to help the kids at Hollyburn Elementary raise a buck or two for their school. Well, okay, the real New York/London auction house didn't come, but the hardworking parents and committee members from this little West Vancouver school sure made things look like it had. "Holleby's Social and Auction" was an event to remember as the gym was transformed into a sparkling lounge full of food, flavours and fun. The silent auction and live auctions were the highlights of the night as everyone pulled together for this very worthy cause.

	Organizer Delaina Bell, seen here with husband ian, welcomed everyone at the door.
	Principal Glenn Rose has been with the school for two years now and oversees the activities of over 300 children between the grades of K-7.
	Getting ready to bid were Alfonso Ergas (left) and committee member Mary-Beth Whyte.
	Vice principal Joanne Wallis has been with the school for over 6 years and does a great job looking after the kids.
	Dave and Heidi Mason are the proud parents of two children, Erica and Connor.
	It was a night out for the big kids, namely parents Trish Forman (from left), Greg Caws and Catherine Caws.
	Tracy Forbes (from left) and NS News senior editor Michael Becker joined Patricia St. Marie for a look at the silent auction items.
	Keeping the wine glasses full were volunteers Sally Lo and Louis Lo.
	Committee members Helaine Shepard (left) and Ann Dillon passed around some of the fabulous Korean, Iranian, Chinese and West Coast appetizers that were on the menu.
	Selling drink tickets and keeping everyone watered were volunteers Cathy Wallace (left) and Hyun Cho.
