North Shore Search and Rescue

THE North Shore Search and Rescue team is often called upon to enter dangerous situations. Whether it's a lost hiker in the mountains or a skier that strayed out of bounds, this team works together with local officials to, shall we say, boldly go where no one has gone before. On March 27, at Deep Cove's Raven Pub, friends and supporters came out to raise funds for the team and its efforts. The pub put on a great big roast beef dinner and donted $10 from every $20 ticket to the cause. There was also a silent auction filled with adventurous items thanks to the generosity of the folks at Seymour Mtn. and the Deep Cove Bike Shop.
