Sato Cup Karate

REMEMBER the movie "The Karate Kid"? Well last weekend, Parkgate Community Centre was just like a scene out of that movie as it played host to the Third Annual Sato Cup. Presented by Shito-Ryu Seiko-Kai Karate-Do and The Unison Way Martial Arts Centre in North Vancouver, the event attracted athletes from all over B.C., Alberta, Washington, California, Oregon and Japan. A head table of local dignitaries sat and watched all the action as they cheered for their favourites. It was an impressive display of skill, and everyone went away a winner.
