Education Week
Chocolate and Roses

EVERYONE loves chocolate and roses, especially when they're served with champagne and smiles. Such was the case last Monday night at the Leo Marshall Curriculum Centre where the opening reception for the North Vancouver School District's Education Week was held. Running from Mar. 4 - 8, the week highlighted a number of events, performances and programs that "help make the North Shore the vibrant educational setting it is." A special congrats to the kids from Carson Graham's chef training program who were responsible for the chocolate goodies that had everyone's mouth watering.

Lots of community supporters were sipping champagne and socializing, including Eastview vice principal Rob Harden (from left), caterer Jane Rae and Joy Hayden from the North Shore Association for the Mentally Handicapped.

The NV parents' advisory council (PAC) always plays a big role during this week, just ask executive member Jacquie Manning (left) and co-chair Cathy Abrham.

District parents' advisory council (PAC) treasurer Jo Guild volunteered her time at the refreshment table serving guests like district PAC co-chair Paul Knapp.
