WEST Vancouver's Harmony Arts Festival ended last weekend with a bang, of the gavel that it. The first annual Fine Art Live Auction at Saltaire Restaurant took place early Sunday evening and featured pieces by many prominent North Shore artists. For $50, guests were treated to food, wine and some entertaining auctioneering. Proceeds from the event go towards the establishment of a new Visual Arts Education Award for West Vancouver high school students. After the auction, everyone strolled over to John Lawson Park to see the closing concert featuring blues man Jim Byrnes.
