Ladies Media Golf Classic

WED. May 15th was a day just "fore" the ladies. The 15th Annual Ladies Media Classic is a golf tournament like no other. Deluxe coaches take you from the Century Plaza Hotel to Richmond's Country Meadow's golf course where you start with a champagne breakfast. Golf is next, but the score isn't what counts here, fundraising and fun is the name of the game. Besides, who could concentrate with all those handsome police, firemen and ambulance drivers wandering around. Back to the hotel, a quick change and then on to cocktails and dinner. Auction prizes and raffles galore. A fashion show ends an evening and all proceeds go to the Variety Club and Downs Syndrome Research Foundation. Can't wait for next year.

"Where's that cigar guy?" That was the question of the day as the ladies tried to catch up to a model perfect Nathaniel Campbell (centre). Forget the free cigars, Jennifer Mather (left) and Colleen Christie were happy just to sit on his knee.
