FOR 37 years, the Lynn Valley Parent Participation Preschool has been in the same building on Mountain Highway. But that's only recent history, because the school has actually been in existence for over 57 years. Now this is no easy task because the very nature of the school depends on the parents and volunteers. No wonder they've earned the Donner Award for Excellence in the delivery of social services. On January 26, the school held an open house celebration of their award-winning longevity where parents, teachers and students, both past and present, got a chance to come and play. Congratulations to all involved.

	Two-year-old James Knight and his five-year-old sister Sophie can fix just about anything with their hammers and tools.

	Three year-old Zoe Tokarchuk got some help with her colouring book thanks to dad Byron.
	Spencer Phinney and his dad Loring enjoyed some father-son time together.
	Parents Lynda Phinney (left) and Heather Skuse had nothing but praise for the school and its programs.
	Michelle Casey brought along two-year-old daughter Georgia and seven-year-old son Jack to see all the fun.
	Girls with curls. Pretty little Hannah Smith and mom Lianne wear it well.
	Sean Beaudoin listened intently to dad John as he read aloud from a book about dinosaurs.
	"Mrs. Cafe" has been teaching at the school for six years now. She was once a student just next door at Lynn Valley Elementary.
