Happy Norooz

GET ready for spring and for a special New Year's celebration. Tomorrow marks the beginning of Norooz, the Iranian New Year, which welcomes spring and celebrates renewal. The twelve day celebration is a special time for friends and family which starts every year with the Vernal Equinox (or first day of spring). In honor of the occasion, the Iranian Canadian Cultural Association held a big event last Friday at the Delta Pinnacle Hotel. Lots of local faces were in the crowd as the Haft Seen, a ceremonial table, was set-up and the dancing continued into the night.
