Rotary Oscars Night

AND the Oscar goes to . . . West Vancouver Sunrise Rotary. There wasn't an empty seat in the house at Hollyburn Country Club last Sunday night as the West Vancouver Sunrise Rotary packed the place for their first annual Oscars night party. Glitz and glamour were all the rage as tuxedos and gowns, boas and bow ties were the rule. Host Red Robinson kept the evening lively during commercial breaks as guests watched the awards on huge big screen projection systems. Everyone got a chance to bid on some fabulous auction items and to play along with the awards ceremony by guessing their favourites. An award winning evening for sure.

Host Red Robinson, seen here with wife Carol, is no stranger to show business, he's been a favourite for over 40 years now.

West Vancouver Coun. Ken Haycock and his wife Sheila Tripp had great seats right in front of one of the big screens.

West Van's own Scottish butcher, Peter Black (left), and Park Royal's own Rick Amantea both looked very dapper.
