Seycove Oscars

TWENTY years and still going strong. The annual Seycove Auction and Dance is easily one of the most colourful and well-attended events on the North Shore. Every year you can count on hundreds of guests dressing up for some fund raising fun. This year was no exception as the crowd donned their best Oscar Night cosutmes coming dressed as every kind of movie star imaginable. Held on Saturday, Mar. 2 at North Van's Parkgate Community Centre, the monies raised go to support Seycove School and their feeder elementary schools. There were silent auctions, live auctions, great food and live music. Great fun, great people.

	They're self-proclaimed music groupies. Enjoying some chocolate and raspberries were Melanie Blanco (from left), Brenda Krawchuk and Alana MacFarlane.
	Iain Johnston was a BIG hit as one of Austin Powers' alter egos, Fat B------.
	Hannibal the cannibal and FBI agent Clarice, aka Paul and Kate Fox, made everyone nervous around the finger food.
	Terry Clemett (from left) joined Const. Kevin Strand and wife Lorraine to support this good cause.
	Freida Burtwell (left) dressed as singer Bjork in her swan outfit while Patty Archibald made the perfect "Baby" Spice Girl.
	Electric purple hair, diamond-studded glasses and enhanced attributes made Carol Noble (left) and Debbie Mulligan hard to miss.
	Garth Brooks (centre), aka Dave Randall, brough along his own personal security force, namely Mike Killeen (left) and Pat Kinney.

	They're bad to the bone. Rocking on into the night were Judy Shand (from left), Jan McGrath, Shannon Belsito, Marina Ricci, Kevin McGrath and Alison MacKenzie.
