Seymour Heights

THEY were a rockin' and a rollin' at Seymour Heights Elementary School last Saturday as the parents' advisory committee held a high energy Golden Oldies dance and party. Entertainment, go-go-girls, hula hoop contests, door prizes and dancing to great tunes were all part of this fundraising effort. Everyone got into the spirit of things by dressing up in their best 50's, 60's, and 70's duds. Special performances by "the Good News Players" helped cap off a fantastic evening.

Helping out at the front door were Ken and Heather Southam who have two children at the school.

Even vice principals know how to boogie. Jason Haywood gave Kathy Kee a great big dip on the dance floor.

Long lashes, long wigs and psychedelic outfits turned Jill Simpson (left) and Heather Sorensen into the perfect go-go girls.

Everyone got into the act, including school principal Nadine Bisset who dressed the part.

The Good News Players had them rolling in the aisles with their lip sync tunes. From left: Karen Stewart, David Sweeney and Ursula Anderson.

The committee members were especially pleased with the results, just ask Nico Sachse (from left), Brenda Sachse and Jen Forst.
