THE Tissot-UCI Mountain Bike World Cup returned this year to North Vancouver's Grouse Mountain attracting hundreds of visitors and athletes from all around the globe. World class competition was what it was mostly about, but as with any event of this calibre, all of the action isn't necessarily on the course. The events last all weekend long from July 3 to 7 starting last Friday with Grouse Mountain's VIP Reception. Saturday, after the women's cross-country race, the Maplewood Pub was the place to be for the Lifestyles Condoms World Cup Party which lasted all night long. Sunday, it was back up the skyride for the men's race and a schmooze or two in the VIP tent. So, who says Vancouver can't handle world class fun?
