Jani Guzy Art at WV Ferry Building

May 6, 2003

By Catherine Barr

Artist Jani Guzy and her husband may have left West Vancouver two years ago, but her ties remain strong. Her exhibit "La Mia Italia" opened this past Tuesday at WV's Ferry Building Gallery and will run until May 25th. She will also hold an Artist's Talk this Saturday at 2 pm.

If you wish to receive a copy or a print of any of the photographs included on this page or any other page, please include all the event information, date, title, names of people in picture and picture number (e.g. PICT001.jpg) in an email to info@catherinebarr.com

Mayor Ron Wood, seen here with renown West Van artist Elizabeth Smily, said words of welcome to the crowd.

Reid Gilbert (left) is one of the most respected professors at Capilano College (and my favourite - wink). He came to the reception with Dorothy Jantzen, Dean of Fine and Applied Arts, and partner James Power.

Artist Jani Guzy's works are all oil on linen. This piece, "Vista Val D'Orchia", is one of her favourites.

West Van's Mary Bruce, who is a big fan of Jani, enjoyed some scrumptuous appetizers courtesy of helper Adria Karchut.
