Mamma Mia Cast Party and Stroke Art Opening

July 23 and July 26

By Catherine Barr

Love 'em or hate 'em, ABBA's music defined a generation. Now, composers Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus are packing concert halls again, this time as the beat behind the fabulous musical "Mamma Mia". Cast members and special invited guests partied well into the night at the Westin Bayshore after the opening night performance last Wednesday. Go see it for the finale alone.

Meanwhile, last Saturday marked the opening of "Stroke, The Second Coming: Images of Man" at Davie Street's Pumpjack Pub. Promoting new gay artists is all part of the mandate of the exhibit which runs until Aug. 10.
