Internation Women's Day turned into
a weekend long celebration as the Velocity Media Arts Services
Society presented Sista'Hood Celebration 2003. The three-day
long event kicked-off on Friday March 7 at the Blinding Light
Cinema with the Reel Sista's Film Festival. Parties, workshops,
dancing and open mic nights followed at venues al over the
city. Proceeds raised to go benefit the Downtown Eastside
Women's Centre.
