Daivd Foster and Friends Gala at Vancouver's New River Rock Casino Hotel and Theatre

Sep 10, 2005

By Catherine Barr

David Foster's gala evening fundraisers are legendary. Usually held in Victoria, this year his David Foster and Friends moved to Vancouver and the new high-tech River Rock Theatre and hotel/casino. Surprise guests included singer Sarah McLachlan and comedian Sinbad as well as headliner Josh Groban. The live auction featured a vintage automobile and a dinner with Barbara Streisand. The David Foster Foundation lends financial support to BC organ donor recipients and their families. This event raised close to $3 million dollars.

Catherine Barr, Vancouver's celebrity events reporter and photographer, is supported online by CLR Communications Ltd.

Vancouver's best events and celebrity functions are all archived here. Vancouver pubs, clubs, nightclubs, gala events and fundraisers are included. Thanks for viewing.

Due to server capacity, you will not be able to access or click through to the larger photographs. With over 250,000 unique visits each month, our site would quickly exceed the amount of memory needed.

If you would like to receive a copy of a photograph, then please send an email and enclose the details of the event, the date, the name, the photo number and the names of the people in the photograph. Also, for security reasons, I prefer not to email copies of pictures to anyone other than the people who are actually in the photo. Thanks.
