Canadian Art Foundation's Gallery Hop Vancouver Bash

Apr 21, 2006

By Catherine Barr

The fifth annual Canadian Art Gallery Hop Vancouver event took place last weekend and featured free art talks and gallery discussions, at various venues, all in celebration of Vancouver's visual arts. The big Friday night gala kicked off the weekend and took place in Gastown at the new Inform Interiors space which was tranformed by Hadley + Maxwell into a groovy, mod party palace. "Art and Language" was this year's theme and funds raised from the $75 gala go to support Vancouver's artist-run Artspeak centres which itself is celebrating its 20th year. Special gala hosts from the Canadian Art Foundation and the United States Consulate General were also in attendance.

Vancouver's best events and celebrity functions are all archived here. Vancouver pubs, clubs, nightclubs, gala events and fundraisers are included. Thanks for viewing.

Due to server capacity, you will not be able to access or click through to the larger photographs. With over 250,000 unique visits each month, our site would quickly exceed the amount of memory needed.

If you would like to receive a copy of a photograph, then please send an email and enclose the details of the event, the date, the name, the photo number and the names of the people in the photograph. Also, for security reasons, I prefer not to email copies of pictures to anyone other than the people who are actually in the photo. Thanks.
