Capilano Suspension Bridge

IT'S a staff party like no other. Each year, the Capilano Suspension Bridge executives put on a spectacular formal evening to thank their workers for all of their dedication and hard work. It's really a great way for the gang to get together before the busy season ends and everyone starts returning to school. Last Friday, at the Canyon House Banquet Rooms, the theme was James Bond and everyone really got into the spirit. Also, thanks to the generosity of bridge owner Nancy Stibbard, three lucky students were awarded scholarships to help them continue with their studies. Winners must have two year service or more, participate in extra curricular activities, do some volunteer work and maintain a good grade point average. "Everybody really enjoyed themselves and the evening went of extremely well," said operations manager Craig Nichols.

Martina Wan (left) enjoyed some of the delicious canapes served by sales and marketing's Robyn McVicker.
She looks a lot like Nancy Stibbard, owner and general manager of the Capilano Suspension Bridge, but this night she's really "M", Bond's biggest boss.
Cheers to these Bridgehouse Restaurant servers, namely (from left) Kim Nowell, scholarship winner Stephanie Kinnon, Tim Martin and Autumn O'Brien.

White dinner jackets always drive the women wild, just ask scholarship winner and operations supervisor Jonathon Litchfield (left) and assistant operations manager Ashleah Wilson.
They're some of the prettiest tour guides around. Masqerading as Bond beauties for the night were (from left) Cory Cameron, scholarship winner Azadeh Motameni and Tara Morley.

Goldfinger indeed! Lisa D'Alfonso was covered from head to toe in gold metallic paint. Look for her million dollar smile at the admissions gate.
Marketing manager Sue Kaffka and operations manager Craig Nichols were only too happy to play the role of servants for the evening.
I absolutely loved these colorful feather boas. Melissa McCleary (left), Gail Lucas (centre) and Lara Freimond looked ultra glamorous wearing them.
Rumour has it that Steve Gomori and bridge mascot "Rocky Raccoon" are close friends. In fact, they're so close, sometimes people think they're one and the same.
With or without those eye glasses, this quartet always hits a high note. Jordan Black (from left), Lindi Cassel, Christine Park and Evelyn Yngveson are better known as the "Canyon Echoes" singers.

Damian Pearson, of security, and Andrea Bezruc, from the gift shop, arrived in style as the Bond evening began.
