Carol Ships

THE Carol Ship parade is really one of the best parts about Christmas here on the coast. In fact, a view of the Carol Ships can be had from lots of North Shore locations. On December 1, the Burrard Yacht Club holds its own special Carol Ship Party abord the old sunken navy vessel, "the Dundurn". It's a time for club members and their families to get together, eat hot dogs and chili and watch the boats go by. Unfortunately, this year it was raining hard, but it didn't seem to damped these Christmas spirits.

Fleet captain Dennis Dean served up the hot dogs to hungry passengers, including the NS News' own Gail Snelgrove.
