North Shore Chorus

THEY'RE a noteworthy bunch to say the least. Since 1976, the North Shore Chorus has been busy entertaining people all over Vancouver with their songs and merry melodies. They've performed with the Vancouver Chamber Choir and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and, just this year, they reached the semi-finals of the CBC Competition for Amateur Choirs. But don't be too intimidated by this impressive list because this ensemble is full of fun. In fact, they're always interested in finding new members who share their love of music (hint, hint). Last Saturday the gang "re-connected" at their annual summer barbecue and, juding from the faces, they're gearing up for another great season. Call them at 985-2673 if you're interested in joining.

Sopranos Terry Lawson (left) and Heidi Littmann have just what it takes to hit those high notes.	Michael Weddle (centre) may be single, but thanks to sisters like Jane Mossop (left) and Susan Ferguson, he's always in tune with the gang.	Even when Trish Martin is the one doing the singing, husband Bob also pitches in and helps out at concerts.

Patrick Brooks and Mary Tomlinson enjoyed their summer evening in the garden.	John Yeomans' big baritone voice is always part of the harmony.	They've got perfect four-part pitch. From left: alto Sandy Craig, tenor Ian Robertson, soprano Valerie Crilly and bass Jeremy Marr.	Soprano Audrey Owen wants to remind everyone about the choir's garage sale on September 30.	Musical director Terry Pitt-Brooke and son Aidan looked right at home behind the grill.

big Linda Paterson and Terry Duncombe are both professionls when in comes to the garden. They hosted the group at their beautiful North Vancouver home.	Judy Gosney(left) is the choir's secretary and Caroline Edliq is the current president.
