Westcoast Kids' Charity Golf, Saltaire Restaurant - Catherine Barr

BILL Ranford spent years behind a goalie mask. But these days, the retired NHL'er is putting his talents to use in other areas. Among them is his driving desire to raise money for less-fortunate kids in our community. Last Sunday/Monday, the Westcoast Kids' Charity Golf Tournament was held to raise money for Kids' Cottage (a kids' cancer camp) and for "Stick-it to Violence" (a creative concepts project in violence management that allows kids to take out their agressions on the ice, instead of on each other). A kick-off banquet was held last Sunday at West Vancouver's newest hot spot, Saltaire Restaurant, and all the sports celebs were there to help out.
