Winter Family Ball

THE North Shore Family Services' annual Winter Ball is one of the year's best fund-raising events. Very rarely do families get to dress-up and go out together for a formal evening, but this night, that was all that mattered. Over 900 guests showed up this year to celebrate in the Bayshore Hotel's grand ballroom. The room looked spectacular as the walls twinkled with tiny stars and huge Christmas trees stood in the corners. There was a cocktail reception to start, and a special room or two for the young ones to socialize. Then, everyone sat down at their tables for dinner and entertainment. Of special note was the ceramic houses which represented a real household in need of assistance. All of them were sold and now, over 100 needy homes will be able to have their very own special Christmas celebration. Congratulations to everyone involved and to all those who donated so generously.
