Capilano Bridge Scholarships

NORTH Vancouver's Capilano Suspension Bridge provides many young people with jobs every summer. It's a great time for the kids, most of them students, to meet people from all over the world while earning valuable job experience. At the end of the season, a big formal party is held where bridge owner and president Nancy Stibbard awards scholarships to deserving students. Winners must have two years service or more, participate in extra curricular activities, do some volunteer work and maintain a good grade point average. Last Wednesday was the big night and everyone turned up in style at the Pioneer Gardens to celebrate.
