First Step Actors Softball





FIRST Step Actors Studio is a North Vancouver group dedicated to helping actors get a good start in a very difficult industry. Taking classes with these folks is only half the fun though. And to celebrate their second anniversary, the group got all the classes together to play a little softball. Even the kids' classes got in on the action at North Van's Kilmer Park on a great Saturday afternoon with the sun shining and smiles all round.

Carson Graham grad Russell Porter is the man behind the First Step program. He and Eryn Collins are both actors as well as being responsible for a lot of what goes on behind the scenes.

Director Sean Frewer has a vision for the future. This Carson Graham grad has been directing for three years and recently completed "Trust", a suspense thriller.

Thirteen-year-old Eric Taylor (left) enjoys his classes with teacher Tony Massil. "It's really good," said Eric.

They may look like twins, but these sister are really one year apart. Andrea Human (left) and sister Lauren are sure to go far.

Cleo Graves (from left), Jamie Bell and Ben Johnson are the teens of tomorrow setting their sites on movie roles.

Nick Hunnings (left) was happy to be part of the independent film "Come Together" while Justin Harcourt was on television as part of "Just Deal".

The mini-series "A Wrinkle in Time" was all in a day's work for Michael Tayles (left). He joined musician and actor David Lewis in the field.

Twelve-year-olds Brieanna Gunsay (back) and Nicole Pettit are both aspiring actors who say "The Wizard of Oz" is their favourite all-time movie.

Chenier Hundal says Kevin Spacey and Johnny Depp are among his favourite actors while Lara Jones prefers Robert DeNiro.
