Lucas Lounge 15th Anniversary

FIFTEEN years ago the flamboyant Richard Lucas set up shop in Vancouver to promote some of the best and brightest stars around. Today, his talent agency is one of the most sought after having spawned the careers of many famous faces. On Thursday, Nov. 8, Richard turned the Commodore Ballroom into "The Lucas Lounge" where he threw a spectacular charity event in celebration of his many years in show business. Live jazz started off the evening, which was then followed by a star-studded fashion show complete with celebrity look-alikes. After some dancing, the queens took over as "La Cage Au Lucas" impersonators did their thing. A silent auction also helped raised funds for the Canadian Cancer Society.

Richard Lucas (from left) knows how to pick them. Seen here with X-Files actor William B. Davis and North Shore producer/director Walter Daroshin, he put on a glitzy, all-out party that won't soon be forgotten.

Rumour has it that "Shared Vision" magazine editor Rex Weyler used to work at our very own NS News.

"Beverly Hills 90210" star Luke Perry (left), seen here with former Cosby Show star Malcolm-Jamal Warner, was the evening's patron. Unfortunately, he was less than enthusiastic about being there.

Helping to host the evening was celebrity impersonator Joan-E, who does a fabulous Elizabeth Taylor routine.

David Goldman, of Boys' Co. fame, was on hand to see some of his "fun and funky" mens' fashions on the runway.

West Vancouver's Kelly MacDonald and Carey Nelson came by to take in all the action.

Stealing the show was "Madonna" (left) and "Divine", two impersonators who have no problem dressing to kill.
