Senator Ray Perrault

SENATOR Raymond J. Perrault is a man of distinction and class. And at age 75, this popular public servant shows no signs of slowing down. But alas, his tenure in office has come to an end as he takes mandatory retirement and, what is sure to be, a much deserved rest. An illustrious career to be sure, he will be fondly remembered by all for his work as leader of the BC Liberal party, provincial MLA, federal MP for Burnaby Seymour and twice leader of the government in the federal Senate and Queen's Privy Council in Ottawa. One week ago, the North Van Chamber of Commerce held a Community Roast and Tribute dinner for the senator and his family. It was a VIP night to remember and a great way to honour one of the North Shore's greatest men.

Together they're a political powerhouse and a match made in heaven. NV City Coun. Barbara Perrault and her famous husband, Senator Ray Perrault, were the toast of the town this night.

As Ray's big brother, or Uncle Ernie, as the family would say. "I taught him everything he knows," he said. "Too bad he didn't use it."
