Roy Forbes

TAKE a really great voice, back it up with some down home blues/folk solo guitar licks, throw in some almost Elvis like moves and a dash of good humour and you've got Roy Forbes - one of the North Shore's all-round brilliant musicians. Eclectic and energetic, "Bim" (as he's known to his friends), knows how to work an audience. Prominent in folk music circles, this man has talent to spare. Last Saturday, Capilano College helped Bim celebrate 30 years in the business with a special concert and celebration. Friends and fans alike packed the theatre to honour the man whose feel good rhythms and heart-felt lyrics have helped build a career to be remembered.
