Silk Purse Jazz

IT's shaping up to be a summer of jazz everywhere. And nowhere is this more true than here on the North Shore. Communities from North to West Vancouver are hosting all kinds of live music events all summer long. This week, the West Vancouver Arts Council got things rolling with their Thursday night series. "Stolen Moments", usually a trio, sat in at the Silk Purse to entertain along with a guest drummer who arrived straight off the plane from Turkey. A beautiful setting, smooth sounds and seats on the beach. Doesn't get much better than this.

"It's nice sitting out here," said Anna Raglin and Gordon Bradley who preferred the balcony seats outside over the front row indoors.
