Men Only Valentine Cooking Class

OKAY guys, are you in the mood for romance? It's Valentine's Day, so you better have something planned for your loved one or my guess is you're in big trouble. Well, for those of you who are about to rush off to the flower shop, here's a little lesson in planning ahead. Last Friday night, at the Bayshore Hotel, I found a group of North Shore men who were determined to get it right (I've included all their names so you'll know who to blame - wink). They attended a "Men's Only Valentine Cooking Class" where they were treated to cocktails, a cooking lesson, dinner and lingerie fashion show. It was a great evening and everyone had lots of fun. Way to go guys, and good luck tonight.

The Bayshore Hotel's sous chef Eric Evers was helping out behind the scenes.

Ambrosia Adventures in Cooking's Maureen Goulet played host to the guys, including dentist Josef Holy (who will be cooking tonight for "Vladena").

Executive chef Jerry Fyfe prepared Atlantic salmon, winter greens, lamb loin, and passion fruit soup. He handed out the recipes so the men could repeat the steps tonight.

Peter Skolaude wasn't sure whether he and "Katherine" had one of those spatulas at home, but he'll manage just fine I'm sure.

Mike Bolton (left) and John Walcott put the finishing touches on the winter greens which they will enjoy with "Patti" and "Alice" tonight

Hey "Margaret", your hubby Jamie Corbett wants you to know that he's mastered the blender perfectly.

La Lingerie's Julie Stewart (second from left) showed off some beautiful intimate apparel modelled by (from left) Sherry Wright, Jessica Olafson and Paula Flynn.

"Angela" and "Mary" are in for a feast tonight as soon as Kerr Bell (left) and Alex Baker get home from the market.

Enjoying dinner after the class was (from left) Bob Walker, Graham McIsaac and Nico Van Der Hoven. They send Valentine's kisses to "Julie", "Fiona" and "Lynn" respectively.

One lonely dinner roll was all that was left after Mchael Coady (from left), Wilson Stewart and Ray Leeden were finished. Let's hope that "Dawna", "Millie" and "Vivienne" fair better this evening.
