Westcoast Reader

CAPILANO College's ESL newspaper, "The Westcoast Reader", celebrated its 20th anniversary last month with a special celebration at the campus's library. One of the main events which took place was an announcement by Dean Jim Cooke of a new scholarship to be granted each year to an ESL student at the college. The scholarship is called the Joan Acosta Westcoast Reader scholarship. Later on, President Greg Lee also presented a letter of congratulations from Jean Chretien. It was a moment to be proud and a time to pat each other on the back.
