WV Firefighters Car Wash

SOUND the alarms, they've done it again. The West Vancouver Firefighers held their annual car wash on Saturday May 5 and raised over $5,000 for Children's Hospital. This, when added to the other funds, brings their 13 year total to a whopping $75,000. Now that's a lot of cars, a lot of soap and a lot of hard work. Actually, this gang looked like they were having fun out there in the sun. The nice weather helped bring in over 500 vehicles, including the Lions Gate bicycle shuttle bus who snuck in just before closing. Good work gang.

See what happens when you date a firefighter's daughter. Kara Catlin and her boyfriend James Kirby were hard at work for a good cause.

It just wouldn't be the same without a water fight. Patty Catlin was caught between Ken Catlin (left) and Robin Kluczynski (right) when the suds started to fly.

Six months on the job and rookie Fraser Ray is still smiling. Don't worry Fraser, the initiation is almost over.
