Weaver's Haggis Bash

YOU don't necessarily have to be Scottish to know that today is Robert Burns Day. Celebrations toasting the life and times of the famed Scottish poet and song writer have been taking place all during the last half of January and such was the case last Saturday as the Weaver's, a North Shore square dancing club, held their 37th annual Haggis Bash. A night of dancing at the Lonsdale Rec Centre was followed by a special piping o' the haggis. Songs, speeches and refreshments followed as the club hosted other dancers from all over the lower mainland. Great fun.
