TIS
the season for giving, but giving is going to be a year-long activity
for the Athletics 4 Kids organization. The newly establish group is
aiming to provide kids with the means to participate in sports by helping
them pay for things like equipment and registration fees. The project
is the brainchild of well-known athlete Shane Collins
who, along with wife Debbie, donate their skills and
time to the cause. Canadian doubles tennis champion Grant Connell,
former Quiznos owner Al Blaze and QM/FM morning host
Tara McGuire were among the famous faces at Hollyburn
Country Club this past Monday as Collins hosted a thank you reception
for board members, founding sponsors and key players. Look them
