Emerald Eve BCSS

May 24, 2003

By Catherine Barr

A carribbean theme was the basis of the BC Schizophrenia Society's 14th Annual Emerald Eve gala which took place at the Westin Bayshore last Saturday. Dignitaries and famous faces from all over Vancouver took part to raise money for this often misunderstood, but very worthwhile, cause.

If you wish to receive a copy or a print of any of the photographs included on this page or any other page, please include all the event information, date, title, names of people in picture and picture number (e.g. PICT001.jpg) in an email to

BCSS executive director Gary Glacken (left), silent auction coordinator Carol D'Eathe and direct of development, Nancy Panchuk,

Comedian/actor Gary Jones, who can next be seen in Western Alienation, was the evening's MC.

North Van's Roz Best and Albert Roos were looking forward to dancing to the steel drums.

A date wtih dad is always a good idea. Don Best and daughter Mary-Lee came out in support.

BCSS provincial board member Herschel Hardin escorted wife Marguerite, who works at the NS Family Support centre in Ambleside.

MLA Lorne Mayencourt (left), Vancouver police chief Jamie Graham and provincial health minister Colin Hansen were looking very tropical.
