Famous Mothers Fashion Show

May 6, 2003

By Catherine Barr

Lots of celebrity North Shore moms took part in Tuesday's Famous Mothers Fashion Show and Luncheon at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club. Benefitting the Boys' and Girls' Clubs of Greater Vancouver and the Variety Club, our lovely local ladies modeled a series of spring/summer clothing from Holt Renfrew. A silent auction and gourmet three-course luncheon were all part of the festivities. Way to go gals, you are all beautiful.

North Van's Michelle Cooke (left), wife of Canucks' star Matt Cooke, and West Van's Devina Zalesky, of All West Insurance, showed off the latest in summer casuals.
Just call her Ms. Mercedes. West Van's Evva Taubenfligel, co-owner of a prestigious dealership, has a figure most teenagers would be jealous of.
It was all about moms and daughters as Ruth Rowe (left) and Lori Rowe-Romano could tell you.
It's hard to believe Wendy McDonald (left), seen here with personal shopper Maria Ko, is an octogenarian. She's also chairman of BC Bearing, the first ever woman elected chair of the Vancouver Board of Trade and a recipient of the Order of Canada.
Global news anchor Steve Darling played host to the ladies as he did his MC duties.
West Van's Mary Pattison (left), wife of Jim Pattison, and friends Bev Sleeman and Penny Geer admired all the fashions.
Pale pink sparkles and Japanese silk print formals looked fab thanks to TV news personalities/models Deb Hope (left) and Pamela Martin.
