Cirque du Soleil - Quidam

May 6, 2004

By Catherine Barr

Cirque du Soleil has returned to Vancouver with another amazing acrobatic show that leaves audiences gasping. "Quidam" opening night celebrations took place on May 6 complete with an after party at Skybar that included fire dancers, food, drinks, performers and local celebs. Show runs until Jun 6 and tickets are going fast.

Vancouver's best events and celebrity functions are all archived here. Vancouver pubs, clubs, nightclubs, gala events and fundraisers are included. Thanks for viewing.

Due to server capacity, you will not be able to access or click through to the larger photographs. With over 250,000 unique visits each month, our site would quickly exceed the amount of memory needed.

If you would like to receive a copy of a photograph, then please send an email and enclose the details of the event, the date, the name, the photo number and the names of the people in the photograph. Also, for security reasons, I prefer not to email copies of pictures to anyone other than the people who are actually in the photo. Thanks.

Celebrity restaurant owner/chef Umberto Menghi  and wife Marian were among the opening night guests.
Colourful circus performers on stilts were dotted along the streets directing guests to the after party at Skybar.
Performing the "Diabolos" routine were four of the cutest little China dolls you'll ever see. These tiny 12-year-old girls are truly astonishing.
Getting into the act at the after-party were guests like Karen Griffin (left) who had her face decorated by Cypress.
North Shore guests Nina Hooker (left), Andrew Dorey and Colette Lynch enjoyed cocktails and appetizers together after the show.
Newsman Ian Haysom and daughter Amy came to the show together and made it a true father-daughter evening.
