BC Junior Mountain Bike Festival

Aug 15, 2004

By Catherine Barr

The North Shore Credit Union BC Junior Mountain Bike Festival took place last Sunday at Ambleside Park. Young riders from all over, and their parents, took part in an afternoon that featured demonstrations, clinics and day-long activities. Part of the World Mountain Bike Festival & Conference, the fun continues this weekend with events at Seymour and Lonsdale. More info at <>.

Catherine Barr, Vancouver's celebrity events reporter and photographer, is supported online by CLR Communications Ltd.

Vancouver's best events and celebrity functions are all archived here. Vancouver pubs, clubs, nightclubs, gala events and fundraisers are included. Thanks for viewing.

Due to server capacity, you will not be able to access or click through to the larger photographs. With over 250,000 unique visits each month, our site would quickly exceed the amount of memory needed.

If you would like to receive a copy of a photograph, then please send an email and enclose the details of the event, the date, the name, the photo number and the names of the people in the photograph. Also, for security reasons, I prefer not to email copies of pictures to anyone other than the people who are actually in the photo. Thanks.

Helping make it all happen were volunteer coordinator Roseline Melzer (left), student volunteer Earl Allen and event producer Richard Juryn.
West Van riders Michael Lindsey and dad Richard donned their cool sunglasses for an afternoon out on the beach.
Caught in motion, North Van junior rider Sasha Daroshin already tackles the North Shore mountains with ease.
Five-year-old Jeff Boch, seen here with dad Ron, already makes-up his own practice jumps at home and says he wants a bike with front suspension "springs" when he gets bigger.
