Cops for Cancer at Wilson's Steakhouse in Vancouver

Jun 30, 2005

By Catherine Barr

Every September, Cops for Cancer hits the road to raise money for cancer research. Supporting Camp Goodtimes, the constables ride 600km in honor of their "buddy" and raising over $10,000 each. Last Thursday, Wilson's Steakhouse hosted "A Pocket Full of Stars" fashion show and auction in support of this cause. Many North Shore faces were in the crowd to lend their support.

Catherine Barr, Vancouver's celebrity events reporter and photographer, is supported online by CLR Communications Ltd.

Vancouver's best events and celebrity functions are all archived here. Vancouver pubs, clubs, nightclubs, gala events and fundraisers are included. Thanks for viewing.

Due to server capacity, you will not be able to access or click through to the larger photographs. With over 250,000 unique visits each month, our site would quickly exceed the amount of memory needed.

If you would like to receive a copy of a photograph, then please send an email and enclose the details of the event, the date, the name, the photo number and the names of the people in the photograph. Also, for security reasons, I prefer not to email copies of pictures to anyone other than the people who are actually in the photo. Thanks.

North Van's Erin Chamberlain and West Van's Dave Bull sipped champagne during the reception.
They live on the North Shore, but the Wilson family's stylish downtown steakhouse was the perfect place to party. From left: Blair Wilson, wife Kelly and manager Drew Wilson.
Organizing models and fashionistas were Naylene Boroevich and Leanne Adachi.
It was the first time on the catwalk, or in this case - the bar, for volunteer models Dina Spagnuolo (left) Stefania Rizzo and Karen Cavezza.
Vancouver Fashion Week's Jamal Abdourahman volunteered backstage with models Francelle Nand and Eliott Wilkes.
West Van's Anne Peterson, seen here with son Bryan Angus, dressed the models in her amazing Bella Luna jewellery creations.
