Curvatures Art Exhibition at West Van's Trafiq Coffee House

Nov 26, 2005

By Catherine Barr

Put two talented artists together in one funky cafe space and sometimes you get the perfect mix. Local art promoter Lana Nechayev and West Van coffee house Trafiq are featuring the Curvatures Exhibition with works of Luviana Alvarez and Miro Matiasko all this week. An artists opening night reception was held last Saturday.

Catherine Barr, Vancouver's celebrity events reporter and photographer, is supported online by CLR Communications Ltd.

Vancouver's best events and celebrity functions are all archived here. Vancouver pubs, clubs, nightclubs, gala events and fundraisers are included. Thanks for viewing.

Due to server capacity, you will not be able to access or click through to the larger photographs. With over 250,000 unique visits each month, our site would quickly exceed the amount of memory needed.

If you would like to receive a copy of a photograph, then please send an email and enclose the details of the event, the date, the name, the photo number and the names of the people in the photograph. Also, for security reasons, I prefer not to email copies of pictures to anyone other than the people who are actually in the photo. Thanks.

Urban landscape artist Luciana Alvarez (left) sold two paintings almost immediately upon opening at Lana Nechayev's Trafiq reception.
Painter and sculptor Miro Matiasko celebrates the female form in beautiful colorful pieces.
Fans Gordon Nielsen (left) Julia Kreinin, P.K., Larisa Kurash and Malcom Carter came to admire the artwork.
Art is for all ages. Just ask Josh Jardine (left), Lucas Raynor and Chris George.
