Local comedian Carter Hortie warmed up the crowd before Gottfried took to the stage at the Plaza of Nation's newest comedy venue.
Comedy headliner Gilbert Gottfried, who is probably best know for the voice of Iago in Disney's "Aladdin", appeared last weekend at Vancouver's Funny Bone, the newest venue to feature live stand-up in town.
Kay Meek Centre executive director Paul Gravett (left) and Kay Meek chair Liz Byrd were thrilled to receive a cheque for $50,000 from the West Vancouver Community Foundation and its chair, Byron Hender.
Shaw TV personality Fanny Kiefer (left) joined guests like Howard Nemtin and June Earle at the West Vancouver Community Foundation's "Fun Evening of Musical Memories" at the Kay Meek Centre.
Reknowed master portrait and impressionist artist Daniel Izzard and his beautiful wife Pilar, Consul of Bolivia, were among the VIPs who came to hear the music of The Timebenders at the Kay Meek / West Van Foundation fundraiser.
West Vancouverites Joanne Strongman (left), David Bull, Kelly Wilson and her Liberal MP hubby Blair Wilson, all put in winning bids for their unique artist designed masks at the Four Seasons' Mask-4-Aids gala.
West Van's David Pidduck and Melinda Brezova got all glammed up for the Mask-4-Aids Charity Masquerade Ball which was held in support of the Shooting Stars Foundation and direct service AIDS organizations.
