As the holiday season approaches,
it's time to think about giving to a good cause. The
fight against diabetes is one such cause that needs your
help. But thanks to events like The Checkers 50th Anniversary
Gala, which was held on Oct 24 at the Hyatt, those
suffering
from this disease are slowly gaining the upper hand. Galas
and glam aside, it's the people that count.
Meanwhile, on Nov 1, the Arts Club
Theatre celebrated its 40th Anniversary at the Sutton Place
with no shortage of famous faces. Song and dance, impromptu
entertainment and a charity auction made this evening a complete
success.
