Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival

March 24 - 30, 2003

By Catherine Barr

The Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival celebrated it's 25th anniversary this year by inviting some of the biggest names in wine from all over the world. Rothschild, Tyrrell, Blass and more were seen raising glasses with guests and dignitaries all week long in a fabulous series of events and tastings that took place throughout the city. There were some spectacular moments, and some even more spectacular memories, just see for yourself.

Jane Tyrrell, of Tyrrell's Wines, and Wolf Blass (right), were two of my dinner companions at the Gala event. We shared two rare 1981 bottles that Wolf bought at auction - fabulous.
