Dining for Dreams - Centre for Ability

Mar 8, 2004

By Catherine Barr

"Along the Garden Path" was this year's theme for the 5th Annual B.C. Centre for Ability's Dining for Dreams event. Guests gathered at the Westin Bayshore to dine on appies from four of Vancouver's best restaurants while bidding on silent auction prizes. Dinner, prize draws and live entertainment followed helping raise money for this very worthwhile cause.

Vancouver's best events and celebrity functions are all archived here. Vancouver pubs, clubs, nightclubs, gala events and fundraisers are included. Thanks for viewing.

Due to server capacity, you will not be able to access or click through to the larger photographs. With over 250,000 unique visits each month, our site would quickly exceed the amount of memory needed.

If you would like to receive a copy of a photograph, then please send an email and enclose the details of the event, the date, the name, the photo number and the names of the people in the photograph. Also, for security reasons, I prefer not to email copies of pictures to anyone other than the people who are actually in the photo. Thanks.

Volunteer Amina Jindani (left) and Nicky Pontin checked in guests at the door.
Seafood stuffed shells were served up by chefs Ryan Leonardo (left), Cindy Hui and Rod Delacruz from Stonegrill.
Chef de Partis Danielle Daws, from CinCin, plated delicate bites of smoked salmon wrapped crab with clam vinaigrette.
If fish is your thing, then go see Glowbal's Sean Riley (left) and Brendan Killoran because their ahi tuna tartar is to die for.
Westin Bayshore's Kevin Anderson (left) and chef Kevin Doucette, who also prepared the night's dinner menu, started out with some succulent duck.
Vancity community foundation's Jennifer Johntone and non-profit account manager Robert Marus were on hand to donate.
Land surveyor Bill Chapman and wife Sandy are always big supporters of the foundation.
