Vancouver Museum Fireworks Fundraiser

Aug 7, 2004

By Catherine Barr

Finding a good view of the fireworks finale was easy for guests at the first annual "All Fired Up" fundraiser. Held last Saturday night at the Vancouver Museum, the evening incuded live music, dancing, appetizers, silent auction items and more. Helping raise money for the museum's educational programs and exhibits, the staff are already planning for next year - so mark your calendars.

Catherine Barr, Vancouver's celebrity events reporter and photographer, is supported online by CLR Communications Ltd.

Vancouver's best events and celebrity functions are all archived here. Vancouver pubs, clubs, nightclubs, gala events and fundraisers are included. Thanks for viewing.

Due to server capacity, you will not be able to access or click through to the larger photographs. With over 250,000 unique visits each month, our site would quickly exceed the amount of memory needed.

If you would like to receive a copy of a photograph, then please send an email and enclose the details of the event, the date, the name, the photo number and the names of the people in the photograph. Also, for security reasons, I prefer not to email copies of pictures to anyone other than the people who are actually in the photo. Thanks.

Making the "A" list were Loving Spoonful's Kenn Hamlin (left), art dealer Sherri Kajiwara and hair stylist Scottie Dunn.
Terry Jackson (left) and Dino Georgas chatted with Sugar and Sugar gallery's Nicole Bender and Jason Sugar.

Vancouver Art Gallery's Rosemary Nault (left) and Paul Conder joined Vancouver Museum's Laurie Anne Ryan on the patio for the show.

Jewellery designer Angela Kasendi (left), seen here with friend Sacha De Voretz, donated a purple jewelled necklace for auction.
After the fireworks, the "CinderBellas" came out twirling flames and fire of their own. From left: Wendi Lacusta, Nadia Quek, Marya Gadison and Carla Maftechuk.
Vancouver Museum president and SFU university relations vice president Warren Gill and wife Shaundehl Runka cuddled up outside for the finale.
