Vancouver Film Festival
Cin Cin Restaurant - Brightlight Red Carpet - Galas

Oct 2, 2004

By Catherine Barr

The Vancouver International Film Festival always brings lots of excitement with it every year and this year was no exception. For two weeks, producers, directors, actors and writers flocked to theatres downtown. The chance to stargaze was never better. Brightlight Pictures and Vancouver Film Studios got things rolling on Sep 21 with their red carpet event at Cin Cin restaurant. The opening night gala, anniversary gala and closing night gala (which takes place tomorrow) also afforded guests the chance to meet and network with industry big wigs.

Catherine Barr, Vancouver's celebrity events reporter and photographer, is supported online by CLR Communications Ltd.

Vancouver's best events and celebrity functions are all archived here. Vancouver pubs, clubs, nightclubs, gala events and fundraisers are included. Thanks for viewing.

Due to server capacity, you will not be able to access or click through to the larger photographs. With over 250,000 unique visits each month, our site would quickly exceed the amount of memory needed.

If you would like to receive a copy of a photograph, then please send an email and enclose the details of the event, the date, the name, the photo number and the names of the people in the photograph. Also, for security reasons, I prefer not to email copies of pictures to anyone other than the people who are actually in the photo. Thanks.

Da Vinci meets Da Vinci. Vancouver mayor Larry Campbell (left), who was the inspiration behind the TV series, and lead actor Nicholas Campbell prove that art really does imitate life.
Da Vinci's star Donnelly Rhodes has worked in the industry for years appearing in both American and Canadian productions.
Handsome TV hunk Kevin Sorbo and his beautiful wife Sandra (Sam) Jenkin, chatted with TV personality and Leo Award winner Vicki Gabereau (centre).
Local actor Babz Chula, seen here with husband Larry, indulged in a henna hand tattoo at the anniversary gala held at the Law Courts.
Former "Law and Order" actor and Emmy winner Michael Moriarty now makes his home in Maple Ridge and appears in many local TV shows and films.
