Absolute Spa for Men at the hotel Vancouver Opening Night

April 14, 2005

By Catherine Barr

Wendy and Sergio Cocchia threw open the doors to a whole new concept in spa treatments last week. Absolute Spa at Hotel Vancouver features the first men's oriented spa treatment centre in Canada. Guests at the opening night celebration were treated to food, fun, facials and foot massages all while watching beautiful flat panel tv screens. Normal treatment they say for the usual celebrity clientele.

Catherine Barr, Vancouver's celebrity events reporter and photographer, is supported online by CLR Communications Ltd.

Vancouver's best events and celebrity functions are all archived here. Vancouver pubs, clubs, nightclubs, gala events and fundraisers are included. Thanks for viewing.

Due to server capacity, you will not be able to access or click through to the larger photographs. With over 250,000 unique visits each month, our site would quickly exceed the amount of memory needed.

If you would like to receive a copy of a photograph, then please send an email and enclose the details of the event, the date, the name, the photo number and the names of the people in the photograph. Also, for security reasons, I prefer not to email copies of pictures to anyone other than the people who are actually in the photo. Thanks.

Wendy and Sergio Cocchia, seen here with daughter Connie, have built men-friendly features like pool tables and internet stock acess into their newest spa.
Checking out the newest Sony Playstation PSP gadgets were spa massage therapists Karli Dumbrell (left), Hayley Close and Cindy Honeybourne.
Getting make-up tips from artist Sarah Davidson was ArtsBiz's own Marnie Wilson.
CTV anchorman Mike Killeen can strike a pose with the best of them as he mirrors silver-painted spa statue/model Aleks Holtz.
Drawing for the grand prize trip to Vegas was celebrity guest of honour and "The Apprentice" star Bill Rancic.
