Brightlight Pictures / Cin Cin Restaurant Red Carpet Event for Vancouver INternational Film Fest Opening

Sep 27, 2005

By Catherine Barr

The Vancouver International Film Festival is in full swing and the parties are everywhere. It all began early last week with the Brightlight Pictures red carpet reception at Jack Evrensel's elegant Cin Cin restaurant. Known for its famous faces, the restaurant put on the ritz welcoming writers, producers and stars from here and afar.

Catherine Barr, Vancouver's celebrity events reporter and photographer, is supported online by CLR Communications Ltd.

Vancouver's best events and celebrity functions are all archived here. Vancouver pubs, clubs, nightclubs, gala events and fundraisers are included. Thanks for viewing.

Due to server capacity, you will not be able to access or click through to the larger photographs. With over 250,000 unique visits each month, our site would quickly exceed the amount of memory needed.

If you would like to receive a copy of a photograph, then please send an email and enclose the details of the event, the date, the name, the photo number and the names of the people in the photograph. Also, for security reasons, I prefer not to email copies of pictures to anyone other than the people who are actually in the photo. Thanks.

Vancouver councillor Jim Green (left) and blues boy Jim Byrnes  are long time friends.
At age 76, and with over 150 movies and 200 tv shows to his credit, you'll probably recognize actor James Hong for much more than his role on "Seinfeld" or "Wayne's World 2".
Gold medal snowboarder Ross Rebagliati and wife Alexandra will be starring in a new reality series, filmed in their house, about Ross's prep for the upcoming winter Olympics.
Red Light Lounge party host Rory Richards posed cheek-to-cheek with actor/writer/producer Charles Martin Smith, who you may recognize from "American Grafitti" or "The Untouchables" with Sean Connery.
"Corner Gas" character Lucy, aka actor Gabrielle Miller (left), cuddled up to fellow actor John Cassini whom she stars with on the new series "Robson Arms".
Saturday Night Live alumnus and "Night at the Roxbury" star Chris Kattan is known for his funny faces and hilarious characters.
Veteran actor John Rhys Davies (left) of "Lord of the Rings" and "Indiana Jones" fame dined with Brightlight Pictures' Steve Hegyes.
