L'Hermitage en Ville's Giorgio Armani Fashion Show and Armani Casa Furniture Preview

Oct 20, 2005

By Catherine Barr

The L'Hermitage en Ville show suite on Richards was the backdrop for a special Holt Renfrew Giorgio Armani Fashion Show and Armani Casa Furniture Preview last week. Guests sipped wine and socialized as model apartments, and model people, added that special stylish touch. Also, last Friday marked the end of the 24th Vancouver Int'l Film Fest. The closing gala event at the Wall Centre followed an evening of festival awards and screening of the movie "L'Enfant".

Catherine Barr, Vancouver's celebrity events reporter and photographer, is supported online by CLR Communications Ltd.

Vancouver's best events and celebrity functions are all archived here. Vancouver pubs, clubs, nightclubs, gala events and fundraisers are included. Thanks for viewing.

Due to server capacity, you will not be able to access or click through to the larger photographs. With over 250,000 unique visits each month, our site would quickly exceed the amount of memory needed.

If you would like to receive a copy of a photograph, then please send an email and enclose the details of the event, the date, the name, the photo number and the names of the people in the photograph. Also, for security reasons, I prefer not to email copies of pictures to anyone other than the people who are actually in the photo. Thanks.

Holt Renfrew/Armani male models Nathanial Marten (left) and Mark Grueter made the ladies swoon at the L'Hermitage event.
Seen at the L'Hermitage event were writer/agent Carmen Vars and actor Alan C. Peterson, whose 60+ credits include a role as Martha Stewart's lawyer in "Martha Behind Bars".
Adding glitz and glamour and wearing Armani at the L'Hermitage event were Robin Peterson (left) and Britta Bentz.
Wearing a remote video projector/helmet-cam is all in a night's work for Urbanvisuals' Nathan Whitford whose moving slide show has become a feature of the Film Fest's closing gala.
Movie gals Jackie Barnard (left), of M Squared Productions, and Karima Lake joined in for the Film Fest's final bow at Wall Centre.
Producer Jason James' new CBC TV comedy series pilot, "This Space for Rent", has just wrapped filming in Vancouver. He posed with film fest promoter Helen Yagi at the closing night gala.
